Would you pay to enter a LFS ?

Watch this news story from My Fox - Tampa Bay where a Aquarium Sotre charges a "cover charge" of $1 /head if you do not make a purchase during your visit.

Do you really think this will help his business? I sure don't.
Oh .. and after speaking with members from the tampa area ... apparently what you see in the news clip is abou tthe variety & size of his entire store. Sad

thats funny i disagree with

thats funny i disagree with where hes coming from but from my personal experience from working at a store it does get pretty annoying sometimes.....not like the people who just come in and look and stuff but we have one guy who constantly comes in and milks us for information bout a certain product and takes our time usually a half an hour to forty five minutes than leaves an orders it online and doesnt buy anything from us...to me that gets annoying but other than that i dont care

Sounds like something we're

Sounds like something we're going to be adopting soon.... j/k. That's just ridiculous. They better have some good music and a stocked bar if they're going to be charging at the door like that. All joking aside, I would agree with drock. That is a scenario that does play out very often at the LFS, and it's just part of the biz. Bottom line is, there's no easy way to get around it, and I believe charging an entry fee would just discourage current and potential hobbyists from going there at all. But that's just my two cents.
